From 2002 to 2004 Columbus developed the projects and prototypes of the VTNE (Non-Specialized Transport Vehicle) Marruá 1/2t and VTNE Marruá 3/4t, starting the Marruá family.
These vehicles were designed according to the ROB (Basic Operational Requirements) and RTB (Basic Technical Requirements) issued by the EME (Join Chief of Staff of the Brazilian Army) and evaluated by the CAEx (Brazilian Army Evaluation Center).
These projects were sold to Agrale from Caxias do Sul-RS, which has already produced more than 3,000 units of these vehicles.
VLEGA Chivunk (Light Airborne General Employment Vehicle) project specified by the Joint Chief of Staff of the Brazilian Army meets the needs of the Parachutist Brigade and Light Infantry Brigade.
Columbus was contracted by the Brazilian Army to develop the project and prototype in 2005. The project was managed by the CTEx (Technological Center of the Brazilian Army) and three prototypes were manufactured. The evaluation and approval were made by the CAEx (Brazilian Army Evaluation Center).
This development is currently under pre-production vehicles approval.
Marruá VTL (Light Tactical Vehicle) is a project specified by the Joint Chief of Staff of the Brazilian Army to meet the needs of the Light Infantry Brigade.
Columbus was contracted by Agrale to develop the project and prototype of the military solution to be applied to the Marruá vehicle.
It is currently in production by the company Agrale in Caxias do Sul-RS, and is also being exported.
VTNE (2.5 ton Non-Specialized Transport Vehicle) ia a project specified by the Joint Chief of Staff of the Brazilian Army to meet the need of transportation under tactical conditions.
Columbus was contracted by Agrale to develop the project and prototype for the transformation of a civilian truck in production into the military application VTNE following the ROB (Basic Operational Records) issued by the Joint Chief of Staff of the Brazilian Army.
The vehicle was submitted for evaluation by the CAEx (Brazilian Army Evaluation Center) and is awaiting adoption by the E.B.
